Tips for a Wedding Toast

Need to present a toast at a wedding? here are some tips from Harry Kingston, DTM from West Carleton Toastmasters Club.

  1. It's best if you have a personal relationship with the person you are toasting. Why were you asked to toast?
  2. Toast in good taste. Eye contact with the individual you are toasting. Avoid drinking any alcohol until after you present your Toast. Keep it brief, no more than 3-5 minutes.
  3. After the storiy, ask the audience, "Please rise as we Toast the bride, Debbie... To Debbie!"
