Do You Need Presentation Skills?

Many people wait until they absolutely need presentation skills before they get them. I sometimes get requests from political candidates for speech coaching.

"When is the election," I ask.

"Next month."

"Uh hunh."

While we certainly can improve presentation skills in a month, why take that risk? Doesn't it make sense to get the skills before they are needed?  Don't take my word for it. Listen to Trisha share her experience gaining confidence with public speaking through Toastmasters:
